Wilco
Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
Listening notes
Is Wilco Country? Is it a person or a band? I don't really know, but I can't help but going in with skepticism
I like this first one, interesting sounds in the background, I don't know what its about, but it is very interesting, dreamy
I don't like songs that end with :5x. I'm probably a little OCD, but just under *Y* minutes bugs me, I'd rather have it be Y:0x minutes long
"Kamera" - is it like how Jenna Maroney says Camera? I like it fine, nice pop song, interesting sounds, and the guitars are very clean - I stopped looking up artists on wikipedia, I want to listen to the albums more unbiased, but sometimes context would probably help.
I gave up not looking them up, it is definitely an interest album. It always surprises me when things came out when I was in high school and I ignored them. I was very skeptical of new music in High School, mostly because the radio was full of pop-punk, of which I was, and still am not a fan. I liked 90s pop alternative like Goo Goo Dolls and Third Eye Blind, but then felt like I grew up past those and went more into classic rock like Boston and Led Zeppelin (having moved past the middle school crush of The Beatles, of which I still did and do love to listen to from time to time, but now I settled into what the other trombone section listened to). There were a lot of indie bands back then that I now listen to a lot that I just didn't know about, and I could have had a very different musical outlook. I probably would have had/needed a different set of friends though
Jesus, etc. comes on with the violins, and bluesy feel, just very interesting.
I don't think my mom would have liked this album, though she never would have heard the words, so she would have probably been ok with the music. I love the line "playing KISS covers beautiful and stoned"
"Pot kettle black" and that last one were great
I guess I find the acoustic simple guitar with all the weird other sounds just a great feel
